My Mac Origin
I’ve been a Mac user since January 2002. If not for MacOS X, I would never have bought a Mac. To this day, I still don’t like the pre-X era. Unlike many, I’m not a PC-to-Mac switcher. I’ve owned many brands of computers, and preferred Amigas, but I have never owned a Windows PC.
I came to the Mac because the Amiga market was as good as dead due to too many broken promises, too much community bickering, and too few advancements. When I came to the Mac, it was because to me, it felt like I was using a brand new Amiga.
I still use my PowerBook for creative writing and note-taking at ByMUG meetings. The MacBook is my current muscle machine, used for everything from coding to desktop publishing.
