The Bytown Mac User Group of Ottawa maintains a selection of email mailing lists:
ByMUG Announce
We send out notices as to the topic of next month's meeting around mid-month and then send a reminder on the Wednesday before the meeting. You can join by sending an email (and replying to the email the system sends back to you) to announce-subscribe@bymug.ca, or you can use our contact page, and just click the checkbox marked "Keep me informed of future ByMUGs events through email" and you will be added to the list.
ByMUG Member Discussions
This mailing list is
only open to people who have attended a ByMUG meeting. The general purpose is to discuss upcoming meeting topics, talking about Apple products, and answering any questions that members have.
iPhone Developers
This mailing list is only available to people who have signed up for the
iPhone SDK. To sign up, fill in the form on the
contact page and say that you'd like to be on this list. An email with the requirements will be sent back to you.
Billings Users
Marketcircle's time tracking and invoicing application
Billings does have
support forums but there are enough Billings users here that we decided to start our own mailing list. This list is open to the public, and you can join simply by sending an email to
billings-talk@bymug.ca and replying to the message the system sends back.
